Randy Patrick Presents-“The Life and Times of Thomas Say.”
Often referred to as the “father of American entomology,” Thomas Say was one of the scientists who accompanied William Maclure and the so-called “Boatload of Knowledge” to New Harmony in 1826. Patrick’s presentation will explore Say’s remarkable contributions to American science and his lasting connection to New Harmony’s intellectual and educational legacy. This lecture is part of the Owen-Maclure 200th celebration and will be held at the Atheneum.
